EGR Off on BMW 320D DDE3?

Postby ngrimmer » Sun Apr 14, 2013 10:53 am

Hello, im new to here!, looks a very good forum and very helpful info.

My own car, 320d dde3 ecu, Ive removed the egr valve from engine, but engine still flags code for egr valve, car still drives ok, no eml lights, but would like to learn if possible how to remove egr code / switch via WinOls etc.

I have winols 1.7, and flashed many cars before, have mpps v12 etc etc

I understand i need to find egr map address in winols and switch off but id rather learn than somebody just send me a egr file already done!

Thanks.

Hi, might be off topic but i've disconnected the vacuum hose and [plugged it w a screw] on my bmw M47 2.0l engined Land Rover Freelander with dde4 ecu [presumably more advanced than dde3] and no EML.

HI, read this post post4081#p4081

They told here for EDC15 that you can populate the table with the highest value, but they are wrong. If you do that the turbo will not work anymore and i think that EGR will stay open too much, and all pressure will go to exhaust.
Is not the correct thing. Somebody any idea how to block it ?

There is sequence 02951 02931 00900 00880 03931 03881
first two values is min coolant temperature for EGR function 22 and 20'C
next is minimal atmosphere pressure 900 and 880mbar for the same
and last is max coolant temperature for EGR function 120 and 115'C
Just change Patm values to 1100 and 1080 and EGR is OFF until Patm reaches 1100mbar :)
I found this solution, and it works 100%
