Ok guys..
If I understand correctly in most of the cases EGR off job is zeroing both hysteresis maps.. But what actual they do, beside that zeroing them will disable EGR?

If I understand right EDC16 Funktionsrahmen (I don't know well German language, but I can get some words), these two hysteresis maps serve the purpose to disable EGR when injection quantity for some reason goes above upper one, and it is hysteresis, because EGR will be bring back in fuktion when IQ drops bellow lower one.

So.. what will happen if I only zero second (lower map)?

I think that in this case EGR will be fully functional until I blip loud pedal hard enough, and then will never come back until I restart.
If I'm right about this, I think this can be quite good solution if in some countries there is functional check for this EGR on annual car exams.

Am I missing something that will make this not working solution?

Hi!

I'm newbie on this and try to learn, can some one advice me with this

Car is mazda 3 1.6 diesel with EDC1634 ecu

I try to find on off for DPF and disable EGR from this car.

I have tried to use winols and damos map with no success. There was good thread regarding DPF but there was no information where that 9F 00 00 was so i did not find it. Also i can't find EGR map even with Damos

I attach hex dump here if some one can help me? Thanks!

I have found a way to cheat the EGR operation on a Citroen/Peugeot 1.6 HDi engine with EDC16C34 ecu.
The maps in question are two 8x1 linear maps that adjust EGR control depending on outside temperature. EGR duty cycle is reduced during cold weather, and with those maps you can completely turn it off through the whole temperature range.

After this mod the EGR duty cycle shows 0 percent, the idle air flow has increased and there is no DTC about that but since this is only a cheat and not a true switch - the EGR valve must be connected and operational.

You can find the two maps by following simple instructions:
Go through all the driver wish maps, untill you see a EGR map (I've attached a picture). Then go to the next map, found by winols (16x16 replacement air data) and a few lines after that you will find a line 00008 (number of axis values), with some temperatures following it 2331 - 3131 (with 0.1 factor and -273 offset it means -40 up to +40 degrees) with values ranging from 64 to 128 in the map. Set all 8 values to 0 in both maps (one after another) and you will get 0 percent EGR duty cycle without any DTC.

Good luck

Hello.
I am not very experienced. . .
This reasoning also applies to a Ford Focus 1.6 TDCi, year 2009, 109 hp (80kw) (PSA Engine)?

I own a Ford Focus, which also mounts bosch EDC16C34, and I would be interested in permanently closing the EGR, as I currently only closed it mechanically (by sheet metal) so as not to dirty the intake manifolds.

Place my original file attached.
