Postby wodorof » Mon May 25, 2015 8:22 pm

Hello i`m trying to learn construction of ecu dumps, in this case it is edc17cp20 sw1037518073(told by some dpf removal software) from t5 2.0, can somebody tell me is there switch byte like in other ecu`s, becouse from analysing modified bin file, i suppose that software removed only dct errors field, please correct me if i`m wrong

The cleared areas are not the DTCs. It is the regeneration matrix.

I don't fully understand how they are used, but it appears to be a logic table, so under condition X =4, and Y=6, it looks at the map data for a logical byte.

There is usually a "regeneration matrix" as well as a DPF switch.

The method for finding a switch by looking for a pattern will only suit one particular type of ECU, and it is based on the software engineers using the same basic format for different ECU and software versions. Sometimes it works if the softwares are similar, but not always.
Only a small change is needed to hide the pattern you are looking for.

So it looks that this solution should work, am i right? And can you tell me did i found correct dpf switch? I searched it form pattern recommended for this ecu, i think that it is starts at address 06F18E and it looks like a0 0f 01 00 00 00 00 00 00 01 01 00 is this the right one?

The matrix might be for post injection too, but I would do both.
The switch should cover everything, if you just did the matrix, you might find you still get some DPF errors appearing.
