Postby langeveld024 » Thu Mar 19, 2015 2:58 pm

Hi Guys, im new on the forum but already introduced myself a while ago.
In the meantime i was researching and reading a lot. Learned a lot, but now im getting a bit stuck.

I've started my first project, a Toyota Yaris Verso 1.4 D4D MY 2000.
I managed to find some maps already, by following as much as guides and tutorials as i could.
But im not quite sure about some maps so perhaps could someone who has some sparetime have a look at it.

These are the specifications:

Yaris Verso 2001 1.4 D4D
Bosch EDC15C9 ecu
hardware nr 0281011127
software nr 366965

And these are the maps i have found:

71E2C - EGR Map*
72430 - Turbo Map*
72588 - ?
72BBA - Duration 0
72F9A - Duration 1
735BE - N75 Map*
76584 - SVBL Map*
77326 - Torque Map (1x25)
773BC - Smoke Limiter Map*
77BCE - Torque Map (16x25)
78104 - Drivers Wish Map
792D8 - Duration 2
796B8 - Duration 3
79A98 - Duration 4
79E78 - Duration 5

*= not sure

Attached zip includes Ori File, .ols project file, and a text document with this text.

Hi mate,
if I'm not mistaken, your turbo is mechanically controlled. In this case, turbo maps are useless, and power gain will be pretty small.

hi, thnx for your fast reply.
i've checked on the car, and you are right.
unfortunately the wastegate actuator is mechanically controlled by boost :(
thanks for pointing me out.
im gonna scrap those maps (turbo, svbl, n75)

other than that, i cant seem to find any SOI maps.
is that possible? or should there be at least one SOI map anytime?

will go on with identifying the maps as far as i can, for educational purposes for myself. could you check what ive found untill now and give me some feedback if im doing this right?

regards

Hi mate,

I'm sorry, I can't help you with your maps address, haven't study this ECU,but can give you a tip how to grow your turbo pressure.Of course on your risk.Sometimes work on this kind of turbo's.No translation is needed, images are illustrative.

Thank you my friend, I know this little trick but it is not possible.
The actuator isn't adjustable on this car and I have disconnected the rod to check the movement of the wastegate and the movement is the same as the actuator so building a adjustable rod for the actuator is also not an option.

I think I'll have to use soi advancement to make some improvements but I can't find any soi map in this file, only 6 duration map's.
I will go on with it for education purposes and hopefully someone can check it out.

Do you know if, there has to be a soi map always on commonrail system's? I could not imaging how the fuel would be injected if it has no soi map, but till now I can't find it. (Searching for it for 4 weeks now, in all different ways :p)

Anyway thanks for your help!

Regards

Hey!

Im listen here, im driving a Yaris 1.4 D-4D 75hp (same engine as the Yaris Verso)

What about just tighten the wastegate actuator? or use a mechanical bleed valve?

The best solution will be an electronic boost controller, depending on you budget...

Best regards..

Thank you, perhaps I will take a look at a manual boost control valve in combination with a boost gauge.
But first I need to be sure about all map's.
Did you find soi maps for this car?

Im also new in the mapping scene. Seeking a interface that can read/wright this ECU..

But as im a Toyota technician on daily basis, i really know the standard Toyota engines at the mechanical aspect.
