The position of the maps can be different, in fact it is even from my 2.2HDi and admin's one. You have to look at SW numbers for that.

You will have to locate maps manually or find some mappack from same sw number...

I can uderstand that the positions (eg. exact addresses) are definitely different from ECU to ECU, but how about the ordering of the maps and location of floating axes itself? I would expect that map ordering would be the same for all the EDC15C2 out there no matter in which vehicle are fitted - just speculating :?: ..

Are you saying that ONLY ECUs with the same SW version have maps ordered the same? .. and that it varies from SW version to SW version ..

The files are very different. Map ordering is specific to the car manufacturer. PSA group uses one type of map ordering and Fiat group uses other type of map ordering, the same goes for BMW, Honda and all the other cars that use EDC15.
If you have damos file for a specific ECU it will help you when you work with that kind of ECU, also you can use maps factors and offsets in an other type of EDC15 ECU. For the single value limiters you will need some experience to find them.

Can you give us some info on what are we looking at in the archive? Pictures seem much alike to those ecuedit posted here.
And how do you use the xls file?

This is useful xls for beginning, you can recognise maps, you can se factors and units.
If you would like to go deeper into the bin, than you need lot more of maps, but with modifying those maps you can achieve pretty good things. Not bad at all, but I did not check if everything is correct.

I think I see what my problem is - I'm using Excel viewer and not full Excel in my windoze VM. I'm running Linux and OpenOffice does not play very nicely if xls has macros.. oh well guess I need to buy MS office
