Are there significant hardware differences between single and triple plug EDC15C2 ECUs other than the physical connector?

Difference possible not only between connectors but at ecu with same connectors and different sw. Part of pins is programmable.

I had seen spare EDC15C2 PSA parts from 406's with single and 3 plug connectors.

I was wondering what the difference was and why as they both seem to be advertised as being off the same model (2.0HDi)

The 3 plug version replaced the older single plug version back in about 2001.
