EDC15 Start finding maps WinOLS

Postby avacalho » Thu Nov 15, 2012 4:20 am

Hi, as many others I'm starting whit this thing of ECU flash and chiptuning.
I already have some software and hardware to begin, and I already search a lot and read every information that i can use on this.
My first problem (I every newbies like me had this) was finding maps. So I start to search and someone told that is better to search on 2d and then build your map. But it was very hard to get it, so I start to get on EDC15 ECU's and got a orignal dump from Seat Leon 1.9 TDI 150hp that I've got on the internet just to get start and mess with it.

So I start and at the beginning was hard (factors, offset's..) but I start to get it and I think that I've found some of the maps, not all of them but some, and I wan't to be sure that it's really them xD

4D20E Driver Wish
54656 Duration Map
56C32 N75
56F1C Boost Limiter
6D8D4 Torque Limiter

If someone could give me some lights, this is my first "file" and 1st succesfull attemp to finding maps.
The file is in attachment if someone want to give a look. Tomorrow I will post pictures of 3d maps.

WoooW big thank you djbalkanac how did you find this maps ? Was by searchin on 2d mode ? And about memory banks I already know that could have more than 1 but I just don't know how to know it, it's just duplicated maps ?? And other question why I have 4 duration maps in each bank ?

Sorry for that many questions, but I just don't have someone to ask or teatch me.

Again thank you very mutch for your help, wish I found all this maps by myself

I have all maps on my head, i was reampping EDC15 alot :) So when i saw map i already know what it is

Almost all maps i found by going in the potential maps, only smoke limiter and SVBl you need to find by going in Text mode and search for address and open it

Mostly EDC15 from VaG have only 2 banks, but winols will change all together so you only need to change 1 and other will WinOls do :)

I was same as you are now, no skills i dont have a clue what i was doing but you will see maybe in a month or two when you will see your file you will laugh how easy its to find maps and remapp them :)

thats called "Parallel" maps, if you want to use this feature you must have enabled parallel maps.

Very thank you to give me this tips!! where do I enable that feature in WinOLS ? I hope that I laught of this next month that means that I learn a lot in that time. Can you someone tell me why when I try to get a preview in WinOLS the preview windows comes up showing nothing and I can't create my own map, only use the suggested ones.. I'm using version 2.24 Win7 32 bits

I will donwload and read, wish I could find all of them just like you

I dont know to choose in WinOls, but i think its already configurated inside, i didnt change anything and my WinOls change all same maps by himself

Just a quick question
Do you use cracked 2.24 WinOls?
If you do, do you have checksum for EDC15/EDC16
Beacuse i have on my computer same version but this version its missing alot checksum, so thats why i am using 1.7, but i really hate when i am remapping to change to virtual detoskop or switch my disks to Windows Xp Sp3

Use, asking, linking, uploading or exchanging things about illegal software is not desired on this forum.
