Hi,
A bdm can or cannot read an edc15? If i block my edc15 how can I recover it? I am informatic Eng. and with some hardware with enter in bootmode when anything goes wrong. Some hardware we use Jtag... but here in cars I would like to know how can I recover a bosch ecu if something goes wrong.

I am always afraid about the checksum, Is there any method to see if the checksum is really good calculated?

You can not read EDC15 with bdm.
You can recover your flash in boot mode, bench flash (look pictures) but not always.
You can even boot ECU without the flash.
If all fail, you desolder the chip and put it into programmer.

most important thing - do not rush.

What you think about create here in the forum a section about recovering ecu's. It would be nice cause many people soon or later will block an ecu.

I have a mpps v12, but this gets me a 468kb on the meriva 1.3 cdti which has a similar ecu as this vehicle. i then removed the st 95320eeprom but that has a 4kb file. Im considering on buying another ecu reader :(
