Dodge Journey 2.0Crd tune, egr and dpf off?

Postby Kstaplet » Sat Feb 17, 2018 12:21 pm

Hi all,
Newbie to all this and have KESS V2 master (clone) and looking to modify the file to map out the DPF and EGR as a priority, and possibly add a few horses as a priority... so I’m here to see if anyone can help and also to learn some hints and tips...
The car is a 2.0crd (2.0 PD VW engine) with EDC16U31 ECU. Currently the engine management light is on, ive put it on a code reader and the error relates to the dpf, although the car itself does not have any warning lights on the dash that indicate the dpf is full (like my Passat CC does)- reading around about this it seems that Chrysler just stuck these on and didn’t bother documenting it properly so I’ve only recently discovered it actually had a DPF... anyway I cannot clear the error off so my question is:
Can the EGR and DPF still be mapped out with the error?
I am more than happy to pay for the file to be edited but I’d also like a bit of info with the file on how it was done as I’d like to have a go at editing the file on the Passat next (that one has EDC17 I think). I’ve read around the forum and watched a fair few videos but I’m still learning and not quite confident enough to go editing a file yet.
Thanks guys!
