Denso ECU Suzuki motorcycle

The Denso ECU for my Suzuki motorcycle has Fuel and Spark table cells that go up to 12,000 RPMs. The factory rev limit was created at 11,250 rpms., but I changed the rev limit to 13.600 rpms.

I had the original engine rebuilt (lightened crank, larger pistons, valve springs, CNC head, larger cam, and ....) and the engine builder tells me the cam/engine will make its peak power around 13,250 RPM. I am drag racing this motorcycle, I want to use the factory ECU and not purchase an aftermarket ECU.

My issue: The engine revs great up to 12K rpms, but the higher I try to go past 12K rpms, the stronger a "soft limiter" is present. Again, all limits in the factory ECU were changed higher.

The Torque and HP go flat after 12K rpms, and then the Torque/HP go back down around 12,400. Same on a Dyno and on a drag strip, Data logs report the same.

My question: Can an engine rev past the max RPMs the Fuel and Spark table has in the ECU? I was told the last values in the max RPM cell (Fuel and Spark) would remain the same when revving past the 12K RPMs.

Thank you in advance for your help.

the engine will not have a problem to run past 13.... even if there is no ignition and fuel map .. there ... because if the engine runs past 13... fuel table and ignition table will always remain in the last row in the map and that its not your problem.... ..the only map that can activate ur fuel cut limiter is maf table and map sensor table .. .... post your suzuki info and post ur file i will take a look... there must be a problem somwhere because this engines can run very high rpm accept that the risk is in valve train
