You should use the file that comes from your own car. Gtab ECUSafe (it is available in some discussion in this forum too) and defap it manually with it, easy peasy!

I tried to defap my original file (peugeot-406-2-2-hdi-2001-pre-mux-t1708) using ECU SAFE 1.9.3.0 and I have some questions:

1) Vmax/Adblue should remain checked during the original file modification?
2) If I check both DPF/FAP and EGR/AGR options does it really remove both records from the original file (EGR removed and FAP removed)?

I have attached my ECU file modified with ECUSafe (with the three DPF remove, EGR remove and ADblue check-boxes checked).
Please help me with confirmation if the file is safe for being uploaded in my ECU and if it has all the EGR and FAP lines removed.

Hi,
checksum is ok, defap is ok.

For EGR off it is stil ON. This has to be done manually, not by ecusafe because it can not do it.

Thanks for confirmation.
Meanwhile I uploaded in my ECU a similar file modified with the same ECUsafe program but from which I removed only the FAP ('EGR off' checkbox was not checked in ECUsafe program). I also removed physically the FAP and everything is ok. If I decide for the EGR removal I will investigate other ECU file editing possibilities (WINols etc).

I am glad you made it. :) For egr removal you also will have to blank the pipe on the inlet and also if you wish before the EGR valve, because it is not electric one, it is controlled by vacuum...

4. Disable FAP/ Additive from BSI with Lexia/PP2000

Yes, I'll do that after I have also the right ECU file (with EGR removed). Still in case the components remain on the car after the "no-EGR" ECU file is uploaded, the EGR itself should not work (the EGR valve should remain closed since the EGR vacuum valve is not powered anymore by the ECU). Anyway removing the pipe, EGR,valve etc and blanking the inlet and outlet manifolds have additional benefits in creating some additional room in the engine area ;)

If you have problem with EGR, disable him too. If he work remove only FAP and check additive.
