Damos, Mappacks ....

The truth is I am new in all this and also the truth is I spend lot of time reading this forum.
For now I have several questions ...

First .... Are the Damos and Mappack same thing? And
Second ... How to make your own Damos (Mappack) file?

Of course I have WinOls and my own read out maps ....

I think they are not the same thing. DAMOS is like an index for maps... Mappacks are a collection of maps for that engine / ECU.

Damos/A2ML(A2L) files is standartizired formats of definition.A2L is part of ASAP2 standart. You can make your own if you know what to place inside...
MAPPACK - this is EVC WinOls format (at least it was at the begining)

Yes, it's pretty much the same, mappacks are usually already into Winols imported damos files. Damos is copyright (rights) protected, while mappacks are not. So it's a more legal name and way to supply damos files :-)
