Citroen C5 2.2HDI 2001 UK

Postby FirmButton » Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:36 am

Hi all,

Can some kind fellow delete my FAP/DPF and EGR please? I will post my original.bin file to the original files forum later today(have a two year old running about at the moment so can't get out to the car!
I took the file (and renamed it original.bin) off the car last night but forgot to jot down the ecu info and I guess this is needed?
Also, anything else that can be done to improve fuel eficiency would be great!

Many thanks chaps!

Hi, it does not work that way. You have to post your original file first, than we can help you to do it by yourself. This is board for teaching / learning. If you would like to be done by us, than you can post the request here: http://www.editecu.com .

Thanks for that, I just want to be sure what I have done so far is correct, ie pulled the file off the car and renamed it original.bin
But I can't seem to attach it to a post, should I zip it up first so it will be accepted?

Cheers

Steve

Hi,
you are able to attach files now. It was 3 posts minimum...
Before you attach file you have to fill out the details about the car under the brows and add the file button...

Ok, am looking into this nugget of useful info from another post- compare a before egr off with after egr off files with a hex compare program! Similarly for dpf off. Above someone kindly removed fap with Volta, so will have a play with that today, see if I can make nor tale of the changes. I'd imagine any maps changed from original would be very noticeable as banks of changes rather than a single value change. Now I need a decent easy to use hex compare program, can anyone recommend one? Can I edit my original file, make the changes manual in the hex editor and save it as a bin file?

I have found a copy of ecusafe 2 so that will be interesting..... But ecusafe has no egr off option? Odd.

Cheers
