Checksums

Postby scoppack » Sun Jul 13, 2014 10:57 am

I have been modifying maps on an EDC16C34 and I'm nearly ready to try it out on the car.
Having exported from WinOLS the last block has changed for the checksum etc
But I'm not sure if this is correct as someone sent me a file and theirs had changes on the very first bit of code aswell.
Which is right? changes at the start and end? or just the end?

Thanks

Did you solve it? I have been modifying maps on an EDC16C34 too (C4 1.6 hdi 110) with Volta (EGR off), and now appears an error message like "motor system control failure", maybe checksum... I don't know what happens.

I doubt you have diagnostics when checksum is wrong

I'm starting with this stuff, but I made it well turning EGR off. Finally yesterday I noticed nor checksum neither bad remapped, it was the handbrake!, must be a position switch stuck...
