Can flashing cause system cranking faults?

Postby Wod » Tue Feb 23, 2016 2:21 am

Hello, I flashed my Mini cooper on saturday using Galletto 1260 with genuine rl232 chips.
I now have an intermittent problem. Sometimes the car does nothing when the key is placed into starter motor position. After this the starter motor position becomes blocked untill igntion is recycled.

Is it possible that flashing has caused this?, If flash messed up the car wouldnt start at all would it?

Other idea is that the battery charger could cause damage? ( i fully charged battery first in the day, left the car to stand overnight and then reconnected the batter charger before writing flash- No errors shown in program, no freezes and reach 100% ok)

Could it be problem with EWS synchrinisation? (Works sometimes, sometimes doesnt)?

I would flash my original file back however i feel that this cant help me now?

Please tell me your opinon,

Wod
