Can a DAMOS file be used to create a Map Pack? If so, how is

Postby Hieubinh » Fri Jul 24, 2026 6:25 pm

Hello everyone,

I am new to ECU tuning and I am currently trying to learn more about this field. I would really appreciate it if you could help answer some of my questions. I truly value your knowledge and experience, and I am very grateful for any advice or explanations you can provide.
I would like to ask:
1. What useful information can be extracted from a DAMOS file?
2. What can a DAMOS file be used for in ECU tuning?
3. Can the information from a DAMOS file be used with different tuning software, or is it mainly intended for specific software such as WinOLS?
4. Is it possible to use a DAMOS file to create a Map Pack or map definitions? If so, what is the general process?
I have uploaded a DAMOS file for reference.
Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to answer my questions. My English is not perfect, so please excuse any mistakes or awkward wording.
I really appreciate your help and I look forward to learning from everyone here.Mercedes C200 CRD3.x Delphi 2011 DCM 3.5.zip
Thank you!

Hello,

1. Everything about ecu maps (if Damos is good)
2. As base info
3. It's mainly for WinOLS, but if other program import Damos format should work
4. Yes, WinOLS can extract full Damos maps to generic csv (map address only) or select maps and export to WinOLS map pack (kp) format (full map info to import with ecu file) or WinOLS ols format (ecu file + map pack)

To use Damos you need to import original ecu file hex + import Damos, it will read all ecu maps. If Damos is not exact for your ecu file you need to adjust offset address to match addresses.
Sometimes there are ols files (ecu file + map pack similar to Damos) or ecu bin file + A2L.
