C5 remap and DPF removal

Postby nijohc » Sun Dec 16, 2012 5:45 pm

Hi everyone, my car has lots of faults :

P1447 - Particle emission filter, filter holed.
P0100 - Mass air flow sensor, short-circuit to battery positive
P1435 - Additive system; disfunction
P0245 - Turbo pressure; air flow greater than maximum
P0402 - EGR valve; positive deviation
P0235 - Turbo pressure signal; short circuit to positive or value too high
P0401 - EGR valve; negative deviation.
ABS System - Torque reduction error

Comes up with Antipollution fault and ESP/ABS error/turned off (or something similar). My mechanic thinks most of these faults are due to the DPF. The car has had EOLYS topped up and brought to temp, new EGR valve, new cooler and new air filter and MAF cleaned. Faults still remain.

Anyway I'm wanting to remove the DPF system and get a remap at the same time, I've saved the map using a MPPS cable however the faults will likely be present in the map? Will this make a difference or do I need to clear the faults first?

Forgot to add car is also in limp-home mode! Quite sluggish although it's power/acceleration seems to vary quite a bit... but it won't rev over 4000rpm

I uploaded my file to ecusafe to remove the DPF, then saved a new file. Loaded the original up in WinOLS and then imported the modified file, I goto export file and get this error when I choose to correct checksum :

Can anyone help? When clicking on checksums(F2) for my original file it shows the following :

You are in limp mode because of your wrong modified file.

You did not turn off EGR that's why you are getting most of errors,
also DPF of is not done correctly.
Also you have to turn of FAP module in BSI after flashing the car with PROPER file modified...

Checksum is ok.

In short words: file is not ok.

Thanks for the reply, I haven't flashed any file to my car yet. The file above that is just numbers is the original unmodified file from my car. What you are saying seems to suggest the file has been modified before by someone else?

Also if you are saying I have to change something in the BSI does that mean I need a Lexia? I only have MPPS at the moment.

Hi,
the file: 0281010764-1037353572.Bin is your ori,
i have compared it with dpf_egr_offNEW.bin which is wrong.

You have to modify your ori to turn of FAP and EGR, also with correct checksums.
You need LEXIA to turn off the FAP as well in BSI configuration after flashing your car with MPPs...

I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong really, I'm selecting DPF/FAP and EGR/AGR in Ecusafe. I assume the program corrects the checksum itself while writing the new file?

I'm actually paying somebody to remove DPF and also remap the file at the same time but I was hoping to learn how to do it myself too. (DPF/EGR, I'll leave the remapping to the experts  )

Hi, Try this, I have switch off DPF and EGR

don't forget to disconect your solenoid valve.

disable FAP in BSI and additive fuel in INJECTION (edc15c2) with lexia.

give me feedback ;)

A single valve certainly is true power cord disconnected.

Why? I'm very worried.
