Hello everybody,
a friend of mine send me a bricked ecu. hopefully i will manage to revive it.
ecu in cause is an edc17c56 f30 i believe.
funny thing is neither him or the previous owner doesnt have a full backup. i can connect to it with galleto, mpps, ktm bench. only id and eprom read write. flash is locked by password. i cannot read the password because ecu is stuck in boot mode.
this ecu will not be used in any car from now on so this atempt to revive it is for educational purposes. i assume that the person who tried to flash it, didnt make any back up whatsoever and bricked it. down bellow i attach the ecu info.
please ignore the car details , they are not accurate. so long story short, can anyone help me with a full backup for this ecu ? thank you gentlemen.

i would to read that ecu in boot mode with ktag and upload find a bin with same number and software as its listed in your ecu and than onc the file its uploaded you will need to reprogram the immo after... if its not working than you gone have to bypass the protect pass i think some poeple already did that

for some reason ktag will not even id.
however i manage to extract from eeprom software version.
ECU is from BMW f11, 530D,VIN WBAXA52030C586369 sw version 1037518653. i tried to flash other full back-up into it, but no chance. password is required.
is there a way to read the password from the bricked ecu ? i have to mention that i tried with:
- ktm bench 1.99 - only eeprom read - write, boot pin attached, to read - write flash pswd required
- mpps v18 - tricore module - eeprom read write, boot pin attached, to read - write flash pswd required
- ktag - nothing, not even id
- kess v2 - tricore mode , protocol bmw/mini 220 and 221 i believe, - operation not allowed
- fgtech galleto v54 - id, eeprom read and write , boot pin grounded with a 1kohm resistor to read - write flash pswd required
