BMW 525d e60 egr off

Postby latjak » Sun Aug 06, 2017 2:12 pm

Hi Experts,
I tried to switch off egr in my ecu of my 2005 BMW e60 525d.
I found two 1x25 maps at locations C3986 and C3A06. I 0-d them fully out, but after programming my car the egr still worked like before. Could someone check what i did wrong? I attach my ecu file.
Thanks a lot.

Hello,
I have tried the file and acc.to the OBD tester the EGR is still working. During acceleration it´s at 5%, in any other cases ~50-70% duty cycle.
I don´t understand this. Maybe the ECU is not using the hysteresis curves for switching the egr off at higher injection quantities?

Hello to all, who is interested in this topic:

Finally I found the location of the EGR blocking hysteresis maps in somewhere in the forums. I have tried it, it works. My EGR is in constant off mode (not fully off, but 5% duty cycle).

So, for ECU EDC16C31, sw.390905 the egr hysteresis maps are only two 4x1 maps, beginning at locations C395C and C39DC.

Thanks for your help, and good luck with your projects!
latjak.
