Best software for ECU tuning.

Postby benwade » Sun May 04, 2014 4:24 pm

Hi all, I am just trying to get more involved in ECU tuning, I have remapped cars before but never made my own maps, which is best software to use, where is it available and roughly how much does it cost.

Many thanks in anticipation,

Ben Wade.

Hi Ben,
I've just started myself with doing my own maps. I use TunerPro RT for software and I use an Ostrich 2.0 emulator for my Volvo 240 with Bosch LH 2.4 system. I've only been changing the rpm limiter soo far since I don't have a Wideband AFR guage yet but the program looks to be easy to use.

What car are you going to modify the map for?

regards

Arnold

Hi all,
Could someone suggest which is the best tool for beginners for Reflashing, tuning thro OBD.
I came across MPPS standalone , and Kess V2, but the Kess is very expensive,
Is there any tool less than 1000 USd, and with checksum correction? before going to Remapping.

Thanks

Winols all the way! Its hard in the beginning but if you read and understand the manual, you are good to go! It take some time but it would save you much more in the future! Learn how each ecu behave and use suites like "edc15p suite" to identify maps in winols.
