You mean for tuning ?

If yes, depends on the ecu. For instance, for edc15, you edcsuite which is very good !!!

Here : http://socalsaab.com/suites/suites.htm

For others, I'd say Winols, as I've heard that ecusafe isn't that good ... I've also heard about swiftec, but I don't know anything about it ...

There are many programs for VAG, what do you want to do/achieve?

I am actually having the same dilemma! I have no idea to even start with software! I need software that can do MED9.1 thought for the 2.0T FSI engine BPY. Any help?

For reading and writing the flash in the ECU you can use MPPS, Galletto2, Kess.

For Sw editing you need Winols, good knowledge of the maps inside the ECU and mechanical knowledge of how the TFSI engine works.

Here is one nicely tuned TFSI.

If you don't know what you're doing, better (and cheaper) solution could be to to read med and send someone to tune your file. Later, while enjoying driving your car, you can patiently analise what pro did with your file and learn something. Not recommended to play with turbo gasoline engines, they are easy to destroy

Hello, I've been searching and studying this remapping thing for a while now and before I start doing anything, I was wondering if VAG Suite is good and safe enough to do the changes?
My car is Skoda Octavia 1,9 tdi ASV 110hp and I've been reading these topics and other forums and read some other instructions and theory and think I have a slight idea now what to do, but before I start doing any modifications to the maps, I'd like to hear from you if this VAG Suite is good or should I look for WinOls.
I have upgraded my turbo, nozzles and boost p. sensor, so I have a lot to do... :)
