Bad ECU read? Is this possible?

Postby Gybsen » Sat Jan 06, 2018 3:24 pm

Hi all.

I am in the process of learning to find maps in winols. I have read my skoda octavia 2.0 PD TDI map via obd2.

The first thing that i want to find was the Drivers Wish map. could not find it, i found something that could be the map if there wasn't spikes to max values. Could these spikes be from a bad ecu read if this is possible?

I have found a map somewhere on the web that says "skoda octavia 2.0 PD" and compared those two. I found the drivers wish map immediately in this new file. I have then compared the files next to each other in winols (see attachment) and it looks to be in the exatly same spot these drivers wish maps, only my own map looks like crap.

What do you guys think?

Thanks! :D

Ahh crap, the image has been scaled so no detail on it.

I will attatch both files to those that will take a look at this problem.

Thanks

Would it be possible that a simple setting in Winols will do the trick?

Thanks!

Yes I know. I have found them but they have very large spikes in them and that's not normal I believe. So either the file is corrupted or winols is not showing it correctly?

Yes, i can see it looks exatly the same. I have tried to work it around in the text view and got something. see attached picture.

its 8x12 map, is this correct? What about the -20 values in the text map view?

Thanks!
