Audi A4 1.9 tdi 74 kw

First of all i want to apologize for any grammar mistakes in my english. I am a newbie in mapping, i want to begin learning this things. I have started using WinOLS with some guides on internet.

I am testing on an Audi A4 1.9tdi 74kw. My question is if the file i modified seems ok to you (experienced folks) i will attach the original bin and map(the ones that i found, or think i have, i only hope i did a good job) and the files modified by me(also bin and maps (.kp)).


1. For drivers wish i upgraded the IQ from ~1400rpm to 4000 rpm with 20%, as those in my opinion are the ones i usually work with, and lower the turbo does not engage.
2. Same with smoke map.
3. In Torque limiting map i modified the values for 800 mbar and 1000 mbar as for 600 mbar in my opinion is risky, as i think that if the air gets that thinner i won't need more racing and i don't want to ruin the turbo.
4. For boost map my calculation for 55 mg/stroke column was: 55x18.1/475*1000 and afterwards rounded at 2100 mbar. I used the 18.1 ratio instead of 14.6 (the ideal one) as i understand that a little air in surplus is no problem for diesel cars, and the graphs in my opinion look ok. The rest of the values were modified according to the ratio between the original values and the new ones (eg. 2100 mbar for 1950 mbar)
5. The N75 map was just a little modified and that between 800 mbar to 1000 mbar as for lower air pressure the torque limiter will come. the ratio that i modified the values was 7.7% (2100 = 1.077*2050).

it is not to bad for a for a first try man. it looks like you understand what maps to edit and why you edit them. everybody maps in a different way, but it is not good tuning if you make modifications via percentage. there are several ways to tune files, in my personal experience i would start with the boost maps and smoke maps so i know where to go from there with my Iq/duration/soi and drivers wish maps. this file isn't very strong but there will be an increase in power. once again there are so many ways of tuning a file and it comes down to what you want to do with the file and what afr you want to use. in my opinion this isn't bad.

Smoke Limiter Needs work.
Boost Limiter Should be higher that you requested Boost Pressure
Egr not closed
Torque Limiter- you are requesting a little to much fuel in 1500 rpm and under.
No Launch Control
Other than those changes everything is stock. there was no need to change soi or duration for that Iq you have in your torque limiter.
the file is safe to use but can be stronger if you want to give it a bit more.

Thank you very much RMD for the reply, i will close EGR(make all 850, in my map), i will modify the boost limit and torque limit accordingly to your advice.
And if i might ask another thing, what should i do to smoke map?
