Hello folks,

I was starting the edit of my very own car firmware.
First steps would be to eliminate EGR + DPF (and SWIRL, but this come later).

I have heard that on EDC16C39 Alfa EURO4 is it possible to disable EGR and FAP "simply" by switch.
But i am not 100% sure about that.

Can someone point me in the right direction ?

I have found a video on youtube showing the addresses and modifications needed to remove EGR + FAP but i don't know if it is complete bullshit or something i can work with.

Forget about the video... i think "ecuedit" in this post https://www.ecuedit.com/post54590#p54590 made my day a little brighter.
I was able to extract the mod and got the 4 hysteresis map + 2 deviance map + 1 target AF and the diagnostic switch from there.
- Hysteresis ->blank with zeros the four tables
- Deviances ->incremented by 1500 (not scaled...)
- Target af -> filled with 10000 (not scaled...).
->Diag Swith -> set to 0.

Tomorrow i will test this mod, still not sure if i need also to clear the DTCs (P040x) but i think i will discover very quickly if needed. :mrgreen:

Now, is still a matter of disabling DPF... I think it will be more difficult...
I've found https://www.ecuedit.com/post59990#p59990 where some blessed guy has posted a map pack... but is for a 1.9, and i have 2.4. Is still related the parameters to touch or is a totally different story ?

I recommend for a proper dpf off and egr off both solutions with detached outlet entrusted to an expert.
Please note that if regenerations start due to a question of post injections, the oil pan will be filled
