Manual work, not Volta or DPF Remover. Changes made by looking at 147 sw version that doesn't have DPF and appropriate changes were made to 2.4 sw.
It is not tested by me, i don't own 2.4. But changes are good. But may not be all that must be done to it to fully get rid of dpf functionality.
