This standard solution is to keep egr egr closed 0% or +/- 2% .. but this EGR system should be functioning ..
EGR does not work if you can delete or disconnect plug from EGR and eliminate DTC P0401 typical example .. but I suggest you disconnect plug and perform a diagnostic check for dtc .. after eliminating dtc.
in this case egr is excluded definitively

Hell!

Sorry, my English is not so good. I have the EGR already mechanically shut down. Now i must edit the software, for delete the engine lamp and the error code P040. Is there a simple solution?

OK, i have found a free Software that make EGR off by 1-click!! Very nice :D
