Alfa GT 1.9 JTD ecu edit

Postby dudson86 » Fri Jun 20, 2014 5:55 pm

Hi all, im new here and i want to learn how to read and program ecu. For start i have MPPS 13.02 and Alfa GT 1.9 JTD 150hp 2005 year, and WinOls 2.14 EVC. What i did, i've already copied bin file from my car (size is 1mb) :) Before do anything on this map (for this moment doesnt matter what) i have few questions: can i do anything with this map in program winols ? what means "checksum" for map? why i need it ? how to check if the map i've downloaded is correct or map after change in winols is correct ? and last question i know that version of this ecu is Bosch EDC 16, if someone knows where can i find some instructions, description to addresses in this map? Thanks for reading ;)

1MB = edc18c8
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Checksum
Winols will correct checksum if you have .dll for that ecu - if not, mpps do that for you
there is a lot of info about that ecu

if the list you posted is in some order i can read that:

E12BA,E14FE - drivers wish
E23B4,E25F8,E2838 - EGR
There is 6 times in a row size 16x16 from EC86C to EDF1C but i dont know if it is SOI ? :)
F4DC2 Duration because there is only map with size 20x20
No map with size 25x1 means that there is no EGR ?
Also no map with size 1 x 1 and 12 x1 .

Is it some order by addresses ? In name column i have only Map Bosch II 16 or Map Bosch IV 16. Thanks for your advices.

Map names I've posted are in random order,
you have a 25x1 maps in you file - just winols will not find ther for you, you should find them manualy.
