alfa 147 1.9 jtd

Postby andrax » Sun Dec 21, 2014 1:24 am

Hi all,

This is my first time with edc15c7 and I'm getting some problems to tune this ecu. I have changed most of the regular maps, but I dont get the expected results on the car. My ecu is 336 and software 351962...

I have changed so far:
72460 duration
72730 duration 2
72A10 72A1E svrl
76F60 76F64 svbl
77B04 77CF4 77F24 boost maps
78332 DW1
783BA IQ temp limiter
78450 start IQ
7886C TL
78B5E SL
794E2 DW
79C0A 79E8A 7A5EA rail maps

Have tried some different maps like torque to IQ conversion maps and adjusted smoke limiter but only got a slight better throttle response.
Am I missing some limiters?

P.S. I can't upload the file yet

eheh thanks for your prompt reply! It was easy if I could upload the file!.

Well on my first attempt with all these maps modified, car ran like stock.
Today after further mods I could get some better throttle response but still not as expected... very little power for the mods
TL max at 74mm3 adjusted duration by interpolation till 80mm3 max rail 1450bar AFR 14.5 just basic stage 1 remap before go any further but car ran as stock. I have changed iq fuel temp limiter, but probably I missed something...
Started reading the thread on alfa 156 maybe I can spot my problem.

But by listing my modified maps maybe some of you can notice what I am missing!

Thank you!

Here it goes!

On my first try I had 71B1E switchto 0 as EGR switch. But the car started with lumpy running and then died and no more start.

Guess wrong address or EGR always full opened with this change.

Take a look to see what I have missed. I am better adjusting all maps, but needed to be sure they were running properly, witch didn't happen

P.S. extension not allowed error. how can I upload the file?

I think I have discovered the problem. Didn't change the iq to rail pressure limiter map neither the max iq single values.
I will give a try and make some logs!

thanks!

71b1f - ok off egr.
72a1e - For a nominal maximum sensor 1500bar

- Turbo limiter increased only over 3000 rpms, and there is no need to increase turbo at low air pressure...better to save turbo from damage.
- Turbo pressure increased only over 52mm3 (36mm3), I preffer increase it sooner for better throttle reasponse and smoother acceleration
- Why did you modify starting map? Problems with crancking?
- Smoke limiter - don't go under 16:1, it's not petrol...it's diesel. Preffer even not to go under 17:1
- missed SVBL - I think it is on 7A820
- and missed four more max CRP values...look for 13500 values under allready modified values for CRP
- also...with modifying CRP you have to recalculate SOI to achieve good EOI

Hello!

Thanks for all great input! I´ll further analyse them all.
You are right for smoke limiter, I ve just increased to test if it was limiting my fuel.
Yes the cranking is a bit poor, so I have incresed for better starting.
I will check the fuel rail maps and adjust soi for better eficiency! I will post my results!

thank you
