2014 Hyundai Santa Fe

Postby thewez » Tue Dec 16, 2014 12:04 am

I'm looking for some info/help. Im an end user but there does seem much support in the uk for hyundai/kia's

I have got a 2014 Santa Fe 2.2 197ps 437nm auto with ecu 0281019026 edc17cp14 i believe.

I want to get a remap to give me a bit more lower down the rev range, but currently tuning boxes seem the only option and I'm not keen on them, also it's hard to find a supplier that will do a good job, especially as hyundai/kia is not main stream.

I am trying to find if there is a switchable option or a way that the active eco button could be used as a switch?

Many thanks in advance,

Scott

Through looking at this I came across this artical.

http://www.drive2.ru/b/1167136/?page=0

It is in russian and some of the translation is not great due to the techincal nature of the artical. Its for a Kia Sorento which is similar to my santa fe and also has the same ECU edc17cp14.

The artical suggests that they used flashtec, which I believe is made by CMD? They also say that say (translated)
"We have worked for the benefit of themselves and for the benefit of fellow tuners (who uses Flashtec) - guys file on the server and will not have to remove the block - everything can be done through the diagnosis :) "

Now my reading of this is that the flashtec could now remap this vehicle type via obd? Is this what he is trying to say?

If so does this mean that in the furture the CMD android flasher might work???

Many thanks in advance for any information.
