i might try dissconnecting the battery again for 1/2 hour or so tonight. and try the bluetooth obd dongle and see if that finds my ecu.
does the recovery option on kess work even if kess cant id the ecu.
cheers for the help shooting

It should do, it's been a while since I had a problem, normally just do these by K-Tag tbh so there's never a problem

KESS can't fail for this car .Maybe you used a wrong driver.Need also over 12V on battery.

Try to open ECU cover and read BDM.

I'm getting his ECU for BDM reading this week, it seems this car corrupts the eeprom when writing using OBD2,
it's only ok if using BDM as it doesn't touch the eeprom.
Do you know how to re-program his keys? the rolling code is corrupt.

i think is enough to Resync ECU with EWS with INPA .Resync will repair rolling code.I do thiS job for Mini Cooper R53 .Or spare ECU and immo off on eeprom.

Will AK90+ do this?
Also for Immo off is this correct: $F0EB0 line in MPC set to “00 00 82 12” ?
