2009 Ford Focus 1.6 TDci DPF removal

Postby chris2006 » Tue Feb 23, 2016 2:07 pm

Hi All

I have removed the DPF filter from a 2009 ford focus 1.6 TDCi due to it being blocked,

Is it possible to read the file from the car with KWP2000 Plus and use Ecusafe to remove the dpf from the ECU?

Many Thanks

Hi Maro123

I've only removed the filter from the DPF

I have not made any alterations to the ECU

I need advice on the best software to remove the DPF from the ECU

For this car and ECU model, ecusafe or volta should not be used. They delete the DTC tables and don't disable full functionality of DPF.
Manual method by 3 switches is best to use, check the forum, it has been discussed before and it's easy to find.

... and manual 3 switch solution is not best/full DPF OFF solution ... remember this.
