2008 BMW X6 3.0d, EDC17?

Hello,

I have a question.
From which year have BMW started with EDC17?
Because I have one of the first BMW X6 with M57 Engine. (old engine with 235hp)
Is it possible that this are EDC16?

M57 engines always with EDC16 as I know and N engines with EDC17

Okay that is good!

Can I maybe read out with MPPS ?
Because at BMW X6 are only the X6 35d, not the 3.0d!
Can I read out as a E60 5series? Or will it make problems at the dump?

N57 is alwyas EDC17.

Communication protocol should be the same for 35d and 30d. You can always try using different car at the list - it communicates "by the protocol" and not "by the car" from list.

One last question.
I have the M57TÜ2 235hp 3.0d.
Which one I have? EDC16C35 or EDC16C31?
And how can I find out this on other cars too?
Because even on the ECU are only the manufacter part numer.
