2003 MG ZS 2.0 TD - What hardware/software required

Postby Mad Professor » Thu Mar 19, 2015 9:54 am

Hi All.

I am not sure where this post would be best suited, so please feel free to move this post if needed.

I am trying to find out if it is possible to tune/reprogram the engine ecu in my wife's 2003 MG ZS 2.0 TD, and if so what hardware/software would be required.

Details from the Engine ECU sticker.
BOSCH
0 280 001 956
YL MSB101150 V80 62

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards.

After some more research the ECU in question seems to be a Bosch EDC15M.

Reading on this and other forums I am finding conflicting information, Some people are saying that this ECU can be read/written to via the ODB2 port, but others are saying that it can only be read/written to via a test bench with suitable pogo-pin style programmer.
