2003 Audi A4 Airbag dtc after immo

Postby ternovan » Sun Jan 06, 2019 2:55 pm

Hello there,

I was wondering if anyone could help with some information. My uncle left the batteries to charge overnight and in the morning he left the charger on plus started the car and let it run for 3 mins on idle till it stopped. He took it to a local company, specialised in VAG cars and they did an Immo off on ecu. Since than airbag dtc is on the dashboard.

My guess would be airbag module was damaged when the batteries go overcharged.

Thank you.

Deleted it already with vag com, nothing really happened though. Will check coil spring and ground for cables etc.
DTC is 00588 - Airbag Igniter; Driver Side (N95): Upper Limit Exceeded.

Thank you for your help Mr. ! :)
