1.9 TDI AHF 110hp tuning

Postby boRaTDI » Sat Mar 12, 2016 7:30 pm

hello,
at first i´d like to say this is a  forum.

so now the question :D ,

i have a vw bora with the 1.9 ahf engine and would like to tune the ecu. i have been searching and collecting informations of chiptuning for about 3 months, i have watched a few times when people changed the ecu file via OBD but nobody wanted to tell me how this can be done. so i am happy that i found this forum..

the only thing i know is that the chip of the ECU needs to be desoldered, and a new programmed chip (with the tuned file) needs to be soldered in the ECU. am i right ??

so i have read some threads here and have seen that people suggested to buy the willem programmer, do i really need this one or can i buy another one because i dont want to buy stuff from china or hongkong, but it seems that this is the only way..

so the real question is which stuff do i really need and how complicated is it to do it myslef, soldering should not be the big problem, but i have never programmed any chip so i am really confused with all these things..

hope somebody can help :D

greetings

hey mate.

you are on good way and if you have enough perseverance you can do this independently. like you said you need some programmer and new chips. to your car you need chip 2x 29f010 and you can use socket plcc32. peoples suggested willem programmer because is cheap, easy in use and on the start is enough. you can buy willem made in Poland ;) http://www.gotronik.pl/programator-will ... -1348.html ,if you want you can buy for example wellon programmer. are you have some file to your car ? or you will be working on your file ?

cheers and sorry for my english

ok sounds good. no i have no file for my car and i am at the beginning of this very very long ecu tuning topic so for the beginning i have not planned to learn how to mod the ecu files, i wanted to learn first all the tuning ways (i think there are 4 ways ??) and then i would like to start learning how to mod the files.
sorry for stupid questions but i dont understand everything which may sound normal for some people but for me i have to read every shit 3 times before i learn it. :D

so what are the steps ?
1. desolder the chip from ecu
2. solder it to willem programmer
3. read original file with willem
4. put the tuned file on ecu with willem programmer ??

what about checksumm, i do not understand what the checksumm are for ?
do i have to compare the checksumm from the tuned file and the original file before i flash tuned file to ecu ?
is that right becuz i really do not understand what the checksumm means.. :|

you must desolder chips from your ecu. then you can read your ori file in programmer. you dont need solder chips to programmer because for example willem have socket plcc32. then you change your file and flash your mod to new chips. now you can solder your chips to ecu or solder plcc32 sockets and put memory to sockets. you can use edcsuite program to changes your file and this program will correct checksum . this is free program so ask uncle google and you will find this program ;) give your ecu number ill give you ori file from your ecu.
