EDC15C7 - many Questions - Map location, Offset ?????

Postby ducdriver » Tue Feb 26, 2013 2:36 pm

Hello,
I have to ask some questions. Sure I have read everything interesting for me. I'm a absolutly beginner.

As written, about 2 years ago I tuned my camper. The engine runs very well, diesel consumption is low, but now the second clutch broke after 16000km.

Engine:
- Fiat Ducato 2.8jTD 127HP
- EDC15C7 HW No.: 0281011047, SW-No. 1037363530
- Turbo with only wastegate. No variable geometry turbo. N75 is therefore not of interest.

I work with WinOLS, and the maps are automatically recognized. Unfortunately I can not identify most of the maps.
I used the Damos file "EDC15 cr2", but I can not determine the offset. Resultes are only nonsense. Over 5000 maps, most only 1x1. I have many "offset" - tested without result.

The list from "Ecuedit" here on the forum I have, but does not match the EDC15C7.

Can anyone help me how I calculate the offset, or how and where do I find the maps.

I attach the original file and a picture of my maps there automaticly detected.
The "highlight" maps I had two years ago to about 10 - 15% raised. I know this is not the fine art and bungling!

With the map names I'm not sure. I used your advice, but continue to come back.

Perhaps mercy is here a pro, and aif helps me in my old age. (Yes, yes, I'm a pensioner)

Thanks

I changed last summer a clutch at the same car,i help two bikers from Sonthofen to return home from Romania.
But the new clutch was different from original, both with DMF(Doppel Mass Schwungrad).Iveco Dealear said :old clutch no longer manufactured, this is the new clutch version ,old version have trouble with DMF,so I changed complete clutch(Druckplatte,Kupplungsscheibe,Schwungrad,Drucklager).Maybe your Camper is too heavy, maybe your driving style is too aggressive, maybe run more on serpentine.
Valeo offers now replacement clutch kit with SMF-single mass flywheel-,more suitable for heavy loads.

I don't think you have software problems, but is just an opinion of mine.

Hi adriancl,
My Car is no Iveco - is a FIAT 244 from 2004. No DMF Clutch, only a single disc! This version is actual in stock. Its an Valeo 242mm Disc.
This is my second clutch, the first was damaged post 45.000Km. The flywheel was blue!! At that time the engine was already tuned . Post Clutch changing i drive 16300Km with the same tuning. Now is the clutch broken again. :(

I drive my car very soft ( 100Km/h) - it's a Camper and not a racing car :D
I think , the torque is too high.

Hope, that a tuning pro can me helping .....

1. You can not calculate the offset from editecus bin to your bin, because his bin has 2 map sets and yours only 1.

2. Your mappack is bad. A lot of maps are wrongly set. Example - Torque limiter is 19 x 1.

3. Who ever tuned this van really had no idea what he was doing. :D
The most obvious thing of his bad knowledge is that he tuned boost maps and ECU in the van has NO boost control.
Looks to me that someone read a "tuning manual" for some car and implemented those maps in this ECU.

Hi RPM freak,

thank you for your answer.
The idiot who has the ECU "tuned", I was
It's true, I've watched tuned maps from Ducato, and simply copied the data.

At the time I knew even less about ECUs. Of course, since maps are tuned that with me have no function at all. That I know now!
Now I found my analysis of both maps. Unfortunately, I can not assign all.

Therefore I bought the list of Maplocations of ECUedit and his original file from the Peugeot 406 2,2 HDI number: 353776. So I wanted to learn, how the maps look in 2d and 3d.
But I get no further because a lot maps, that he shows in the video, simply can not be found at the address. I attach an example of SOI 1-Map.

The offset calculation was referring not to the BTW ECUedit list, but to offset the DAMOS file (EDC15C7 cr2.dam)

But step by step. Maybe you can, or explain ECUedit me at first, as I in his Ori.bin the SOI and the rail pressure maps think.
Knowing this, I can then make comparative studies on my file to find the maps, which I must tune.

Next ask later.
I am glad that at least one of my problem has assumed

thank you
duc

Hi,

I kept on working, and solved the questions about ECUedits list and the maps. :D :D :D
Now I think only once all. Let's see how I can do it at my own file.

When I "identified" my maps, then I'll get back here.

Hi,
I'm back, :D
The last days have been hard, very hard. :? I tried ECUedit's EDC15C2 Maps locations to take as a reference. This was unsuccessful. The EDC15C2 has as RPMfreak wrote, two storage areas that only a C7. :(
Better because it was with the EDC15C7 an alpha 147.
Since I have no suitable Damos file, I took one from a EDC15C7, and analyzed.
That was hard work.
Now the result.
In the Excel file, the red maps are important for me. So I think at least. :?:
Perhaps after all, a pro take a look at it and tell me if this is right so far.
The axis name and the values I have all. All correction factors.
The original file will depend on the post over the top.

If that tune as I go further then before.

I am grateful for any expert help. The spring is coming and I want to go with the camper. :D

Thank you.
