If it is EDC15C2 Ecu with 3 connectors immo can be removed only in flash (AMD29F400BT) all other EDC15 can be done in eeprom (95160, 95P08...).
If you just wont to adapt keys for PSA group PIN can be calculated from eeprom - PIN can be programed to the ECU.

Hi
You are rigth.
EDC15C2 Ecu with 3 connectors immo can be removed in flash, but also sometimes possible in eeprom.

If you know how,
you can access to any chip in boot mode via minimon.

But the easy way is to take it off.

Hi tihiuvek,

So the eeprom contains data that is checked against the flash, so the data in the eeprom is like a checksum for the flash data too?

I'm a little confused about how the PIN is stored and used from single connector to three connector ECU's.

As far as I understood.

Single connector had coding for immo/security data on the eeprom.

Three connector sounds like it has coding for immo/security on the eeprom in an encoded form, which can be decoded to then be able to be written to the flash (if you need to)

So what are the impacts on the BSI? Does the three connector ECU use the flash to check the security code/pin, or the eeprom?

Does this mean if you write a different file to the flash on any PSA three connector ECU then the immobiliser won't work? Ie, you'd need to always edit the original file if remapping?

I assume in this case that the security data pin/code is still on the eeprom for BSI coding...?

Thanks for any clarification you care to share!

Many thanks

Dave

hi!
on most VAG edc15 i worked on it was possible to disable immo by simple vag-commander 1.4.
sometimes it was giving the immo light on the dash but immo was disabled successfully.

Hi , I've a 320d e46 bmw 136hp,
when I use ECM2001 the software shows me instructions to create a *.MIX file... What is it??

I've used galletto to load the map, and the driver B445887X.DRV

Thank you!!
