EDC15C2 SOI 1 Axis

Postby rlees85 » Mon Apr 30, 2012 8:51 pm

This is doing my screw in a bit now. I am a bit new to WinOLS and the whole poking around in the ECU map file in general! WinOLS didn't find my SOI map automatically, so I had a go at manually finding it myself. I used the PDF you guys have as a reference (62816) and found it by following the advice on here. Turned out to be at (62816 + 4E), a lot of my maps are + 4E of the reference document for some reason..

anyway, the point is I can't find the Axis for this map anywhere. I looked at all the hexdump before and cant find any:

50xxx
51xxx
00016 (as the map is 16x16)

values anywhere to help narrow down the search...

does this map not have axis or are they hiding elsewhere?

thanks ;)

I think a damos file helps WinOLS pick up maps and axis for certain ECUs. Is there a damos file for the EDC15C2? Also could you look at my hexdump and let me know the address where my axis begin, as looking at the numbers (they are not linear and theres no sign of counters or signatures or anything...)

Damos is a winols file for a specific ECU SW number that contains the correct locations of all maps, factors, offsets and switches. I have posted a damos/OLS file for older TDI engines on the forum. You can inport that file in your winols and you will see what am i talking about.

That's exactly what i was searching for before. I would only get random maps in winols, and i didn't know what they correspond to.
