Maf linearization!

Postby Ricsi168 » Sat Jun 29, 2019 2:17 pm

Hello guys!

I have got an 1.9pdtdi a4 b6 avf quattro!
I have got 2 separate ecu file and i would like to ask someone who konw what is MAF linearization for.
AS you can see on the pic the linearization is not the same, why?
What you can do with this linearization? why would you play with this map?

MAF linearization - the name of the map tells you what it is used for. It is linearisation of the Mass Air Flow passing thru the MAF in to the engine that is measured in kg/h transferred to Volts so the ECU can use it to calculate airflow in the engine.
For example let say that one MAF is rated at max 1000kg/h. This means that this MAF will have 0V at 0kg/h airflow and 5V at max 1000kg/h airflow.
Different MAF linearizations can be used for the same basic engine when that engine has different HP outputs. This means that the engine with low HP output uses smaller MAF and the one with bigger HP output uses bigger MAF.

This map is not for playing. It is used when MAF hardware upgrade is made.

Great thanks!!
The tuned MAF linearization was made by a tuner here in my country,it was a factory 1.9pdtdi 130hp avf nothing was changed but the linearization was tuned.
Now my current setup is AVF with decat, egr off, front cooler, bv43 from 2.0pdtdi 170hp(running on 1.65bar)and a kevlar clutch!
What do you thing why was this linearization changed?

Thank you very much!

If the original MAF is in the engine bay and no other map was changed except MAF linearisation then your tuner tried to cheat the ECU. He rescaled the MAF to show more airflow in to the engine tricking the ECU to inject more fuel all the time.

Hello!

Other maps were changed,i just dont understand this MAF thing.
Othervise i ask this thing because with the map that this guy wrote me car was going strong you can feel good torq, now i got other turbo i got a map on it but it does not feel that much torq and im trying to figure out why.
Maybe if you can check my files and say something about!
My problem is that the turbo spool slow, but i got lot of info about this turbo is laggy ita blue bv43 from 2.0pdtdi BRD engine code.
And the other problem is when i got boost it does not goo that much i mean you cant feel that much torq.
With the 1749va and audi origi map file boost comes early and strong you can feel the torq it pushes you into the seat!
I know its not the same turbo but when i got full bost 1,65bar doesnot feel as much power than with the little 1749va running on 1,5bar.
Thanks!
