Simos PC2.1 communication error

Postby Tune4Fun » Fri May 10, 2019 1:59 am

Hi, I may think I've bricked the Vw Golf 6 1.6 TDI ECU... I've tried to unlock for my first time ever. Had bought Kess, Ktag and FGTech, and BDM Stainless steel frame including 22 adapters. One adapter was named pcr2.1 and I tried that one. Unfortunately I saw afterwards, that everything on this adapter was wrong!
So to my question... I have made backup by Kess, but now I can't communicate with the ECU, have even tried VCP PRO licensed...
Any suggestions?

In very thankful for any help!

Bought pcr2.1 unlock adapter from ECUBAY, and then it's no problem. Also use VCP full license to unlock in boot mode on other pcr2.1 ECU's... But it is much faster and easier to use Ktag with good pcr2.1 adapter :D

you need the patch with the kess to remove the antituning and then you read it with the kess in obd. do an id to see if it's lock or unlock
