8P S3 2.0TFSI stage2+ need advice

Postby tuningSA » Sat Feb 09, 2019 4:05 am

hello everyone.

Im looking for some opinions and possibly some other vag TFSI K04 tuned cars to compare logs with with and the changes made in my tune.

so the cars mods are as follows: 76mm catless downpipe, evoms intake, forge wastegate actuator (blue spring), autotech HPFP upgrade, RS4 FPR.

This car is in good condition and has no hardware faults.

this is supposed to be a "stage 2+" tune but from what i know that means we should see more then 2550mbar boost in the logs for a considerable rpm period. also the tuner is trying 2 tell me that the MAF curve is normal between 2440rpm and 4400rpm on te graphs and logs below. i just dont understand how that curve can go up and down like that but the throttle plate is still wide open and we making constant boost while this is happening. to me it looks like some kind of intervention but im not sure. also im sure we should be seeing more then 109.9bar fule pressure for stage 2+??

Any knowledgeable input will be much appreciated!

What about timing retard you are getting cause of knock? That doesnt consern you? Also when upgrading HPFP its not enough just request more pressure (and Limiters) , there are several maps that need to be changed like pump diameter...etc...

Thanx for your input,

Yes the ignition timing does bother me a bit. the RQUAHDPK, SKHDPMX, VHDP have been changed accordingly as well as the fact that its a CDL motor and that means the cam profile on the intake cam for the HPFP has 0.4mm extra stroke and has also been taken into account.

Sven

That's way too retard, seems like torque monitoring is kicking in through fast path reduction and that's why your MAF isn't constant

Thanks for the replies,

Im sure there is some intervention caused mostly by the aggressive ignition numbers.

I forgot to mention that the intake manifold flaps have been removed.. :?

Could that be one of the reasons the MAF ossilates like that?

Sort out whatever is causing that aggressive retard forst like JUREVB said, my money is on torque monitroing, eoither cause of the flaps or just improper map relations
