MAF sensor issue 206 HDi RHY

Postby michass » Fri Oct 13, 2017 9:19 am

Hi, I have issue with my MAF sensor.
Code P0100 Fault flowmeter signal - Air flow too high or too low or short-circuit (permanent)
When engine is off i have 182 mg/imp.
When IQ is 75, then MAF shows 747 mg/imp. AFR should be 11.7:1, but smoke looks looks like 15,5-16:1.
I don't want to change flow meter too fast, i want to check, that problem is with MAF, not with ECU or something else.
Maybe my turbo is weak, and don't deliver proper amount of air.
Thanks in advance
Michał

If you are not sure about the turbine, then check the turbine pressure. At the maximum load, there should be ~ 2 bar. with air flow ~ 1000mg / imp.
These cars can be switched from MAF to MAP.

Yes, but it's mechanical wastegate turbo without map sensor.
It's not that easy check air pressure.
As I say, from my calculations AFR is c.a. 11:1 but smoke looks like 15-16.
And MAF shows flow, when engine i stoped.
I'm wonder, that it's difficult to change for ECU controled boost.
I know, that i need to do:
- change wastegate actuator;
- mount MAP sensor;
- mount solenoid valve for wastegate or use egr one;
- mount harness for MAP and solenoid valve;
- change ECU switch to use boost control.
I need to do something else?

- mount MAP sensor;
- egr OFF;
- change ECU firmware, MAP sensor control. But maybe not needed, the values will show.

With maf connected or disconnected same value on PP2000
Also I think I have injector faulty
This way I requested 100mm3 smokeless :lol:
