Problem write ME7.5 bootmode MPPS

Postby bmwdennis » Sat Aug 13, 2016 1:36 am

Hello everyone,

The ECU from my Leon Cupra R chipped AMK engine is broken through water damage.

Recently i bought a ECU from Ebay and i have the immo files copyed to the new ECU, car runs fine.
Now i will copy the maps, because my old ECU is chipped, can i not connect it whith Nefmoto flash software.

Validated FTDI device is in dumb mode.
Disconnected
Connecting...
Starting slow init connection.
Connecting to address 0x01.
Slow init failed.
Disconnected

The ME7_95040 tool says:

D:\>me7_95040 --bootmode -r -p 4 95040.bin
Ver: 1.31
Com Port: 4
Baud Rate: 10400
Opening COM4 ... OK
Starting Boot_mode ... uC identification response = 0xC5 (C167 derivatives) ...
OK
Sending Loader + MonitorCore ... MonitorCore successfully launched
Initializing registers ... ... OK
Sending EEPROM driver ... OK
Searching Chip_Select pin ... FAIL. (error=0x01)
Closing COM4

I think the ECU is bricked. Now have i a MPPS (clone) cable and i try with bootmode(generic) to connect ECU.
ECU indentifaction and reading the ECU goes succesfully.

But when i will write the ECU in bootmode says the program: ECU not found.

Has anyone a idea to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance,
Dennis from Holland!:>

ECU is not walled up , if it was bricked up that you would not read the ID or you will not be read Flash.
Your problem will probably MPPS or you 're doing something wrong . Do you have a voltage of 14V as required ?

Hi Kris,

Nice to hear that my ECU not bricked. Yes i've a power supply with 14V on the bench.

With a standard KKL cable and Nefmoto software i also can't connect with the ECU. That is why i think it's a fault in the ECU.

The procedure that i follow:
pin 1,2: Ground
pin 3, 21, 65 and 121: 14v
pin 43: kline

and boot procedure: pin 24 on ground, supply pin 3,21,65 and 121. Hold pin 24 15sec on ground.
I think the boot procedure is good.

dennis!

65 needs to be 62!!! 121 you can leave alone.

here you have picture for mpps!

But the pin 24 connecting the resistor and not directly to the ground. Yes?

it fails to select microchip address for eeprom without CSpin. That's normal for me7.5's with infineon.

try "me7_95040 --bootmode --CSpin P4.7 -r -p 4 95040.bin"
