Ktag combine MCP, EPR etc into one file.

I have a EDC17CP57 ECU for a sprinter. I cabled it all up to a Kess jtag clone and backed up the ECU. My tuner requested the mcp file for modding but now I can't just write the MCP(maps) alone back to the ECU. If I take the original backup and try to restore it restores fine. If I just try to restore the MCP I get an "operation not allowed". Is there something I am missing? Is there a way to patch my new MCP file into a complete backup to restore as I think this is the issue? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Backup is in alientech crypted format which cannot be uncrypted or crypted without key

The full backup is. But the maps and eprom can be backed up separately. I can backup the maps. Read them. and write the unmodified maps back no problem, but if I edit the file and try to re up it says operation not allowed.
