how i did this mistake ?

Postby rikino » Sat Jan 25, 2020 12:29 pm

hello i had made a really bad mistake, i cleaned the throttle with toothbrush and cardirator spray and after i cleaned it when i start the car it was in 2000rpm cold and 1600 rpm when heated, i went to a mechanic shop he did obd test he told me i bombed so much the throttle from my cleaning where i was touching it and it lost its position..... he did some things in his laptop and the rpm went from 1600 to 1300rpm, and he told me that it will get fixed itself but i went lot of rides about 65km and it hasnt fixed yet, i have a galletto calbe do you thing anyone can help me fix it please? i dont have a clue about galleto or why i took this cable from ebay....i want my rpm go to normal things and i am such in pain.....

Hi mate - calibrate throttle body with service tool - as for example - for VAG cars you can do it with VCDS, Odis.

You need to go to a garage that has a OBD tool to calibrate the throttle again.
Never move the butterfly in the throttle manually, while the igintion is on. If you have done this you need to do the calibration - as Nissan wants it to be done.
What tool did the garage use? And what did they do?
Any fault codes?

i didnt asked what was the name of cable he told me it was the diagnostic cables fault!!
