A Question for the remappin PROs

Postby walshy1 » Wed Feb 07, 2018 10:19 pm

Hopefully an experienced tuner here can tell me why these two maps are so different in power, I will post two maps, one has hardcut at 4.5k one has hardcut at 4.7k but doesn't work properly, the map with working 4.5k hardcut makes a lot more power and much more torque, can anybody explain why please.

To my knowledge the map with hardcut at 4.5k (more power one) uses a lot of injection timing advance.....

Thanks

The one with hardcut at 4.7k was a very big tuning company, the one with limiter at 4.5k was another tuning company bit hasn't been around long, the one with hardcut at 4.5k feels faster but the one with hard cut at 4.7k feels very linear in power delivery

After a quick look at the files - They are made by the same guy (no pro at all). This are beginner tunes.

The 4500rpm file is pure 5% 10% 15% tune.
The 4700rpm file is an bad "update" of the first file.

I'd be going back to the shop (assuming you got this done in a tuners shop) and demanding my money back or you'll let everybody know he's just a copy paste tuner and doesn't do a proper job. If you got it online well there's not a lot you can do except chalk it up to experience. It sucks but there's going to be sharks in the water no matter where you go.
