I've been reading this forum a lot lately. I'm curious in chiptuning, mapping or just basicaly ecu edit. I don't know if this is the right place to ask, if not, just put it where it belongs. Thanks! :) So, to begin with, I'm driving Opel Zafira A 2004 2.0dti. I want to decrease fuel consumpsion and(if it's possible at the same time) increase torque. In order to do that, I need to get started with the basics. I won't do chiptune to anyone else, it is just my hobby, but I want to know as much as possible. I already ordered MPPS from ebay. I think I will work, at least will try to, with the winols. So the question is, what type of ecu i own. EDC16? Correct me if I'm wrong and don't judge.. :)

your car has PSG16 , so MPPS can't help you ;)

kwp will not write , galleto last version original may be :)

Is there any cheaper hardware? Because I couldn't find TECH2 cheaper than 300$. And that's too much for me.. :/

What about CARPROG V5.31? In the description, it says "reset ECU", so maybe it's possible to read/write?

it can't read flash , carprog can reset,read PIN , change KM on this ECU only

Okey. I read somewhere that, most of the hardware can't read but still can flash the ecu. So, if I would edit original file and then flash it to ecu? Is it possible? I don't if it's true..

main problem is - yours car ECU , it is PSG16 ( not EDC15M or EDC16C39 ) and it is hybrid (2IN1) , this ECU can flash TECH2 , optican or last version original galleto ( may be). That's all. You have not other choice for this ECU.
