witch tool to use?

Hi, i always seem to struggle to get a read from vauxhall 1.9cdti ecu i can only write them using my kess v2 as it only has this function for this ecu , i have a mpps and a fg tech 2 and carnt get a read with theese either , so im just woundering what you guys out there use to read ecu on them ?

edc16c9 and c39 i always read/write by mpps and always work
