Can you make video log in 3rd gear and let me the numbers not the graphs,
also attach orig / modified bin, values for turbo and fuel.

And think also about volumetric Efficiency of that engine.

unfortunaetly you cant export logs with HDS.
I will have to manually copy the data frame by frame.
This will take me a day or two.

The graph show requested MAP and actual MAP.
From about 1750rpm actual is tracking requested.
At 4250rpm+ they start parting company.
Boost & VNT rpm columns are at 4000, 4500, 5000rpm

Boost values are as per OEM after 2750rpm (+- 20 mbar)

rpm 4523
iat 29.0c (84.2f)
map 206kpa (target 198 | 29.87psiA)
baro 99kpa
maf 1060mg (575kg/h ~ 21.13 lb/min)
iq 54.5mg
sol duty 15% (26% oem)

AFR = 19.45:1 (17:1 smoke) @ 4523rpm
VE = 81.1% @ 4523rpm

I have the same problem on my Volvo C30 1.6D, i swapped the turbo with a bigger one (GT1749V) and now the boost is achieved after 3000rpm . I tried to adjust the vnt but now it overboost after 3500 rpm .
I tried another software made by a tuner but still no change, the strange thing is that there is no smoke but the fuel pressure is 1650 bar .
If i change the exhaust will i get some improvement or find somebody to change the software ?

You should have two important screws on the turbo:

the lever's end point adjustment; it is the screw that the lever touches when the actuator is fully shortened (low rpm, higher requested boost);

The actuator's lenght: do not adjust that one too much, it is better to be longer, as long as the lever can still touch the end point adjustment screw. :)

If you disconnect the vacuum hose, the actuator's lenght should be set at that lenght, that you still don't overboost even at max rpm.

The EPA screw must be set according to desired boost and response at low rpm.

When you set those two screws correct, start to edit required boost map and N75 map.

If you start suffering some smoke, shaking and lack of power when the engine is cold, but it all gets ok after 1 minute of driving, it might be, that the EPA screw is a bit too aggresively set - that was seen many times at 1.9 TDI PD engines.

on 1.6d the original turbo gt1544v is good for 150-160 hp so why change it in the first place? if you look for specs on gt1749v it's rated for 160-170hp so, again, why change it? Also gt1544v will spool quicker offsetting the max achievable hp difference in terms of performance.

It will be limited with other limiters.
