VAG SIMOS PCR2.1

Hi all, has anyone here used FG Galetto4 to read VW Golf6 1600 16v TDI CR. Its Continental Simos PCR2.1, need egr off and wish to know if it can be read by OBD or Boot with Galetto,

Simos pcr2.1 need open for unlock , after you can make via obd......

Thank you for your reply, So you open unlock it in boot mode, put it back and read write by obd.

Very easy to open too. Just bend the tabs all of the way back with a screwdriver, and heat the lid with a heatgun. The glue goes very stretchy and sticky when you keep it warm. Pinch together with pliers and reheat to seal the glue again. Just remember it won't be quite as perfect.

That worked perfect, unlocking reading and writing with Galletto, map modification done by professional company. car 100% after remap. Another question for the professionals on here, the working modified map I how have for Simos pcr2.1 can that be used in another ECU again.

only if the other car's ecu hw and software matches 100 percent

FYI - since Christmas 2016 there IS possibility to write PCR2.1 directly by OBD without any patches that require removing ECU from car by using X17.

k suite tool is preferred to work on this ecu (kess or ktag) , ksuite seem to be more stable than fgtech on pcr but work too.
